Our disabled students at the Shining Star School in Rwanda have enjoyed rich pen-pal relationships with students at elementary schools in Seattle, Washington. In addition to allowing the children to share science education and learn about each other’s countries, such exchange fosters international understanding and friendship. The children of one school in Seattle even raised enough money to send soccer balls to all the kids at the Shining Star School.
